The Floyd County Emergency & Rescue Squad is an All Volunteer Non-Profit Organization founded in 1958, and is Kentucky's First Rescue Squad. We are located in Prestonsburg, Kentucky and we offer many vital services including Vehicle Extrication, Search & Rescue, Swift/Still Water Rescue and a host of other vital services. We are the 1st State-Certified Swiftwater training facility affiliated with both the Ky Department of Homeland Security and KCTCS (Kentucky Community Technical College System). We recently received the 2007 National Sacrifice/Service Award for Response in Washington D.C.
